On 7 March 2021, the Ambassador of Denmark to Thailand welcomed the Danish Church in Thailand to hold a 3rd Sunday of Lent service and helped hand out communions at his residence in Bangkok.
The Danish Church in Thailand followed up on the affair with the following statement:
“Today is the 3rd Sunday of Lent and we have just held a home worship service at the Ambassador’s residence, where Ambassador Jon welcomed and helped hand out communion. It has been a great day with happy attendees and a great selection of cakes from Conrad’s Deli. Thank you to Jon Thorgaard for hosting the event in his home, thank you to Khun Patrick and Khun Back for beautiful music, and thank you to all of you who joined.
