Preparations are now well underway for the Danish Christmas Bazaar 2025, which will take place on Saturday 6 December at Gaysorn Urban Resort in central Bangkok. The bazaar is one of the most beloved gatherings for the Nordic community and their Thai and expat friends in Thailand — a festive day filled with Danish food, Christmas decorations, glögg, raffles and the traditional Lucia procession.
To make the event a success, the Danish Church in Thailand is inviting everyone in the community to take part — in big or small ways. The bazaar is also the church’s main fundraising event, helping to sustain its activities throughout the year.
There are many ways to contribute this year:
- Become a sponsor: Companies can support the bazaar financially and be listed among the event sponsors. This year, the full list will also be published in ScandAsia Magazine.
- Donate a gift: Items are needed for both the popular raffle and the silent auction, which features special prizes such as designer items from Stelton and Royal Copenhagen.
- Volunteer on the day: Helping hands are needed to set up Christmas trees, run food stalls, assist in the children’s corner, and help with packing up after the event.
- Encourage your children to join the Lucia procession: Children aged five and older are welcome to take part in this heart-warming tradition, with rehearsals in November.
- Spread the word: Simply clicking “Going” and sharing the Facebook event helps attract more guests.
- Come and enjoy the bazaar: Bring your family and friends, shop for Christmas gifts, enjoy Danish food and drinks, and soak up the cozy atmosphere.
Even those in Denmark can lend support through MobilePay 49955 (mark “Julebasar Thailand”) or via Den Danske Kirke i Udlandet for tax-deductible donations.
