Danish companies and Thai dairy stakeholders met in Chiang Mai earlier this month to discuss ways to strengthen Thailand’s dairy industry.

The two-day programme on August 17–18 was organised by the Royal Danish Embassy in Bangkok as part of the Sustainable Danish Dairy Value Chain Partnership in Thailand.

The programme brought Danish companies together with Thai dairy farms, cooperatives and other industry stakeholders. Discussions covered areas including animal health, nutrition, breeding and genetics, farm management, milk processing and quality.

Companies involved included Arla Foods, Arla Foods Ingredients, Novonesis, GEA, VikingGenetics, Skov Secco and FOSS. The embassy also thanked Brenntag for taking part.

The delegation visited several dairy operations in the Chiang Mai area, including Chiang Mai Fresh Milk, Farm Gold Milk, TK Dairy Gold Farm and local dairy cooperatives.

The embassy said the programme was intended to create opportunities for knowledge sharing and closer cooperation between Danish companies and Thailand’s dairy sector.

The initiative is part of Denmark’s broader efforts to promote sustainable solutions and Danish expertise in Thailand’s food and agriculture industries.
