Danish Embassy in Singapore seeks visa officer

The Royal Danish Embassy in Singapore is seeking a full-time Visa Officer (CW2), with the application deadline set for Friday 13 June 2025 (midnight). The position is open only to nationals of Denmark or other EU/Schengen countries who also hold a valid residence status in Singapore.

The selected candidate will join the consular section and be responsible for all steps in visa and residence permit processing, from application review and interviews to final decisions. The role also includes client interaction and ensuring compliance with evolving visa regulations.

Candidates should have at least five years of relevant work experience, a bachelor-level education (or equivalent experience), and an excellent command of English. Knowledge of Danish or other Nordic languages is considered an advantage but is not required. Experience in consular services is a plus.

The position begins on 1 August 2025 or as soon as possible thereafter and offers a one-year contract, renewable, with 40-hour work weeks, 13th month salary, 20 days of paid leave, private health insurance, and employer pension contributions based on residency status.

Applications must include a cover letter, CV, proof of education, and references—all merged into one PDF—and be submitted to [email protected] with the subject line “Visa Officer + your full name + your nationality”.

More information is available via the Embassy’s website.
