Danish infrastructure investor A.P. Moller Capital has completed its acquisition of a 40 percent stake in Philippine logistics company AC Logistics, the companies said in a joint statement on 8 July.
The investment was made through A.P. Moller Capital’s Emerging Markets Infrastructure Fund II in partnership with Philippine conglomerate Ayala Corporation.
According to the companies, the partnership aims to accelerate AC Logistics’ expansion by increasing capacity, expanding services and introducing international logistics expertise and operating practices.
Strengthening Philippine supply chains
Founded in 2021, AC Logistics provides supply chain services including cold storage, temperature-controlled transport, freight forwarding, national distribution and contract logistics across the Philippines.
The company has also expanded its cold storage business by acquiring an 84 percent stake in Philippine cold storage operator Glacier Megafridge Inc.
“The country’s geography and growth outlook create a clear need for more efficient, resilient, and integrated supply chains,” said Lars Reno Jakobsen, Senior Partner at A.P. Moller Capital.
