Travellers from Denmark, Greenland and the Faroe Islands can now apply online for Philippine visas for stays over 30 days

Travellers from Denmark, Greenland and the Faroe Islands can now apply for a Philippine e-Visa for stays longer than 30 days.

Holders of Danish passports planning to stay in the Philippines beyond the country’s 30-day visa-free period may now apply online for a 9(a) Temporary Visitor’s Visa, the Philippine News Agency reported on 8 July

The new system allows applicants to apply remotely and receive their visa in digital form rather than as a sticker attached to their passport.

The e-Visa can be used for temporary visits including tourism, business travel, medical treatment, training and attendance at conferences and seminars.

Danish nationals travelling to the Philippines for 30 days or less will continue to enjoy visa-free entry.

The Philippine Embassy in Copenhagen also noted that e-Visas cannot be converted into other visa categories and that the authorised period of stay cannot be extended.
