Danish Miss Universe winner Victoria Kjær Theilvig has taken over the Miss Universe franchise in Denmark, marking a new chapter for the Scandinavian country in the global pageant.

The announcement was made by the Miss Universe Organization on March 22.

“We are thrilled to announce Victoria Kjær, Miss Universe 2024, as the new franchisee of Miss Universe Denmark,” the organisation wrote on their Instagram page.

Holding the franchise means having the rights to organise the Miss Universe competition in Denmark and select the country’s official contestant.

The role was previously held by Filipino publicist Josh Yugen, highlighting ties between Asia and Denmark. It is now taken over by Theilvig, who will be responsible for selecting Denmark’s next Miss Universe contestant.
