The Danish Church Abroad is looking for a pastor for a two-year position at the Danish Seamen’s Church in Hong Kong, starting 1 September 2025 through 31 August 2027.
The role includes both local duties in Hong Kong and a mobile outreach to Danes living in Northeast Asia, offering church services and ceremonies in countries like Japan, Korea, China, and Taiwan.
The Seamen’s Church is based in the international Mariners’ Club near the container terminal, where four Danish-flagged ships dock each week. The pastor is responsible for ship visits as well as for leading services and events for the Danish community in Hong Kong, estimated at 400–600 residents.
The job includes a furnished apartment and a car. Salary and benefits follow the Danish state church pay scale, with pension contributions and allowances.
