The Danish embassy in October reported that the Denmark – Vietnam Alumni Network had successfully maximized the green rooftop of Vietnam’s Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MARD) with its Rooftop Composting Project.
Built on the principle of circular economy, the project aims to reduce waste by recycling it in new ways while making cities more liveable at the same time. Food waste from MARD canteen is collected and turned into fertilizers for MARD’s garden, which both help cut down on waste and create a nice recreational area for employees.
