The China Denmark Regions and Cities Forum 2018, taking place during 20-21 November, is a conference organized by the City of Aarhus and Central Denmark Region, Chinese Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries and the Danish Embassy in Beijing.

Copenhagen Mayor Frank Jensen

As 2018 marks the 10-year anniversary of the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between China and Denmark, these organisers invites to the second edition of this conference.

The preliminary programme stated: Strengthening the cooperation between China and Denmark on regional and local level is an integrated part of the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership and the China-Denmark joint Work Programme 2017 to 2020.

The first China Denmark Regions and Cities Forum was held in Beijing in December 2016 on the initiative of The Royal Danish Embassy in Beijing and Chinese People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (CPAFFC).

The Forum in Aarhus will build on the numerous Sister City relationships between Chinese and Danish municipalities and provinces/regions and the cooperation areas covered by these partnerships, thus supporting the national agenda of cooperation between China and Denmark.

Day 1 will have the Opening Session and Plenary Session, 3 parallel workshops and the official dinner. Day 2 will contain site visits to technical installations, companies and institutions in Aarhus and Jutland.

The second day will offer bus transport to interesting sites related to the three themes of the Forum: Green solutions, Health and elder care, and Agriculture and food

Visits to the respective Sister Cities and Regions are optional on the 3rd day.
