On 17 December 2020, The Danish Embassy in Myanmar released an update on the latest work of bridging between education and industry. The report says:

Universities, Technical, Vocational Education and Training (TVET) institutions provide students with practical and intellectual skills for their future career. In Myanmar, gaps between what young people learn at schools and what industries need are still wide. To close this gap, the Ministry of Education is establishing Schools and Industry Partnership (SIP) with the Union of Myanmar Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry, Universities, TVET institutions and sub-national governments/ institutions.

Under the Partnership, the Ministry has been commissioning several studies and consultation meetings to ensure that the skills students acquire are actually meeting the demands of the industry and that they are prepared for getting decent jobs.

Denmark supports the Partnership to promote the economic growth and development of Myanmar, and the embassy of Denmark in Myanmar is excited to see the progress of SIP activities.
