The Embassy of Denmark in Bangkok hosted a Ministry of Labor Seminar organized by the Danish-Thai Chamber of Commerce (DTCC) on Thursday, 7 March 2019.

The seminar took place at the Royal Danish Embassy’s meeting room and was launched with welcoming remarks from H.E. Uffe Wolffhechel, the Ambassador of Denmark to Thailand.

The ambassador addressed that the DTCC and the Embassy have been cooperating for many years and both of them have the same intention to enhance value and benefit for Danish companies in Thailand.

She answered questions asked by corporate companies from law firms and chambers and also provided recent information from the Ministry of Labor about work permits and foreign labor issues in Thailand.

She mentioned that the classic blue work permit book currently applied will be replaced by a digital Work Permit in the future.

The new version of work permit is a combination between a digital Work Permit and an online website to allow both short-term and long-term foreign workers and freelancers to submit their work permit and any other notification.

DTCC wrote on the website to show their gratitude for all supporters consisting Ministry of Labor, the Embassy of Denmark and Conrads Deli, the food organizer.

“We would like to thank the Ministry of Labour for all the precious information provided and in particular Mrs. Vichada George for being professional and entertaining at the same time, the Embassy of Denmark for hosting the event, Conrads Deli for the delicious Danish food and all our lovely guests,” DTCC wrote.
