Danish logistics giant DSV has launched a new facility in Singapore aimed at strengthening cross-border logistics with Malaysia. The Redlion2 facility will support the flow of goods across the Causeway and work in tandem with DSV’s Sunway City warehouse in Johor.
The announcement was made on Wednesday 9 July 2025 at the facility’s opening ceremony, attended by Singapore’s Minister-in-charge of Energy and Science & Technology, Dr Tan See Leng.
“One handles fast-moving goods, while the other consolidates inventory,” said Dr Tan.
He noted that the setup supports the upcoming Johor-Singapore Special Economic Zone, which aims to enhance Singapore’s global connectivity and Johor’s land and manpower advantages.
DSV invested more than €100 million (approximately S$150 million) in the Redlion2 project, which began construction in August 2023. The facility is expected to generate up to 600 new jobs in Singapore over the next seven years in areas such as logistics, engineering, and digital services.
Together with DSV’s existing Logistics Centre 3, the new facility forms a 1.2 million square foot mega-campus—currently the largest third-party logistics site in Singapore. Purpose-built to support semiconductor and high-tech manufacturing, the site features advanced automation, robotics, and a dedicated space for small and medium-sized enterprises to test logistics solutions.
Dr Tan highlighted that Redlion2 is not only the largest solar-powered logistics facility in Singapore, but also the first to generate 15 percent more energy than it consumes—making it the first in the country to achieve energy-positive status.
