Swedish telecom company Ericsson and Indonesia’s Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison (IOH) won the Customer Experience Award at FutureNet Asia in Singapore on 22 September.
The award recognises an AI-enabled platform that manages services for more than 80 million Indonesians. According to Ericsson, its Digital Monetization Platform handles tasks from orders and activation to billing and customer support. Ericsson says predictive analytics help identify problems before they affect customers.
The companies’ work on the platform predates the award. In an earlier case study, Ericsson reported that the system had cut the time between an order and its activation by 70 percent for one group of successfully completed orders. That figure describes the existing project; it is not a new result announced at FutureNet Asia.
