Swedish furniture giant IKEA is expanding its presence in Thailand with a new store in Khon Kaen, its first location in the country’s northeastern region.
The store will officially open on 30 October 2026 at Lotus Khon Kaen 1. It will cover around 850 square metres and feature 11 room displays and more than 1,400 products, with more than 300 available for customers to take home immediately.
The expansion comes as IKEA Thailand prepares to cut prices on more than 1,000 products, with prices starting from 19 baht, as part of its new financial-year strategy.
The Khon Kaen store will also offer Click & Collect services and a Swedish food section with more than 65 Swedish food and bakery products.
IKEA Thailand said the new location will also strengthen its IKEA for Business operations, supporting companies in the region with furniture and workplace solutions. The company aims to generate 300 million baht in IKEA for Business sales in Thailand by 2030.
The expansion gives IKEA greater access to customers outside Thailand’s major metropolitan areas while extending the Swedish brand’s retail and business presence in the country.
