Finland and Vietnam are exploring cooperation on digital healthcare and smart hospital solutions following a workshop held in Hanoi on 2 October, according to a Facebook post from the Finnish Embassy in Vietnam.
The Embassy of Finland, Finnpartnership and E Hospital organised the workshop under the theme “The Finnish Way to Smart Hospitals”, bringing together Finnish and Vietnamese healthcare stakeholders.
Finnish Deputy Head of Mission Riikka Seppälä highlighted Finland’s experience in developing and operating digitally enabled hospitals, saying the participants were looking to identify concrete opportunities for future cooperation.
The event included presentations from experts from the Integrated Hospital Design Alliance, as well as representatives of E Hospital, the Institute of Smart Healthcare and Finnpartnership.
The discussions focused on Finnish approaches to smart hospitals and digital health, with the organisers describing the workshop as an opportunity to develop cooperation between Finnish and Vietnamese healthcare stakeholders.
The initiative comes as Vietnam continues to develop its healthcare infrastructure and digital health capabilities, creating potential opportunities for Finnish companies and expertise in the sector.
No specific commercial agreements or projects were announced in the embassy’s account of the workshop.
