
During a recent working session with local Vietnamese authorities, Finnish Ambassador to Vietnam Kari Kahiluoto said that investors from Finland want to invest in highways, thermal power, energy, and waste treatment projects in the southern province of Dong Nai, local media Vietnam Plus reports.
Investors from 45 countries and territories worldwide have already funded 1533 projects in Dong Nai’s 32 industrial parks and Finland has contributed three worth 3.5 million USD to the total number of foreign-invested projects.
During the meeting, Nguyen Thi Hoang Vice, Chairwoman of the provincial People’s Committee stated that the province in terms of industrial development is among the top localities in Vietnam.
The Finnish Ambassador stated that Dong Nai has great potential especially due to the province’s industry and technical infrastructure, and the Long Thanh international airport project. The Ambassador affirmed that Finland is willing to offer funding to assist join work to implement projects of common interest.
