Finland’s new ambassador-designate to Indonesia, Pirjo Suomela-Chowdhury, has begun her assignment in Jakarta.
On September 1, she made a courtesy call to Saud Purwanto Krisnawan, Director General for Protocol and Consular Affairs at Indonesia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
During the meeting, Suomela-Chowdhury presented copies of her Letters of Credence.
The Finnish Embassy in Jakarta said the meeting marked the beginning of a new chapter in relations between Finland and Indonesia, with a focus on friendship and closer cooperation.
