Finnair is opening up for Asian destinations this summer

According to a recent statement from Finnair, Finland’s national flag carrier plans to fly to over 60 destinations this summer including Bangkok, Hong Kong, Seoul, Shanghai, Singapore, and Tokyo, media Simply Flying reports. Other destinations include internal flights within Finland, over 40 in Europe, and three in the United States.

The airline is preparing to increase the number of flights as the Covid-19 vaccine rollout is picking up pace in Europe and around the globe.

When speaking about the summer 2021 flights Finnair’s Chief Commercial Officer, Ole Orvér, said, “We closely follow how to travel regulations develop across our markets and have the flexibility to increase flights based on demand, seizing opportunities created when travel restrictions are lifted.”

Finnair is aware that specific country requirements can change overnight and therefore the airline is offering flexible tickets on all bookings made before 31 August. In flexible bookings, customers are allowed to change their date of travel regardless of what ticket they purchased.
