Finnish embassies worldwide and across Southeast Asia are encouraging residents, expatriates, and friends of Finland to take part in a new global survey exploring how Finland is perceived around the world.

The initiative, titled “12 Questions About Finland,” is being conducted by the Finland Promotion Board (FPB) — a government-led network responsible for shaping and coordinating Finland’s international brand. The FPB, chaired by the Ministry for Foreign Affairs and supported by multiple government communication offices, aims to use the results to update Finland’s national branding strategy.

The anonymous survey invites participants everywhere to share their views and experiences of Finland, touching on topics such as Nordic identity, safety, culture, and innovation. The embassies of Finland in Bangkok and Kuala Lumpur are among those promoting the initiative in their respective regions, encouraging Southeast Asian audiences to take part.

By engaging a global audience — including those living or working with ties to Finland — the project reflects the country’s commitment to an open and inclusive approach in shaping how it presents itself to the world.
