Finnish exhibition held in Shanghai

The glass art exhibition ‘The Story of a Finnish Woman‘ by Ritva-Liisa Pohjalainen together with the ‘Kuopio – Capital of Lakeland‘ was held in late October at the Yun Jian Art Museum on the 29th floor of Shanghai World Financial Center.

The centerpiece of the exhibition was the story of a Finnish woman as told in a series of glass artworks by the world-renowned Kuopio designer and glass artist, Ritva-Liisa Pohjalainen. Pohjalainen’s unique art combines Scandinavian idiom with a richness of color and materials.

The Kuopio exhibition dealt with the closeness to nature that the city draws on as a source of inspiration and wellbeing in both business and art.
The exhibition was celebrating the five-year history of the sister city relationship between Kuopio and Pudong New Area.
