A cross-party delegation from Finland’s Taiwan Parliamentary Friendship Group has completed a visit to Taiwan, focusing on strengthening bilateral cooperation across several sectors.

During the visit, the Finnish delegation met with senior Taiwanese officials to discuss regional security, defence resilience, energy policy, industrial cooperation, and tourism. The programme covered engagements with key government institutions.

The delegation concluded its trip in Kaohsiung, where members met Mayor Chen Chi-Mai and visited the Smart City Summit & Expo, the Main Public Library, and the Kaohsiung Finland International School. Discussions included innovation, industry, and education collaboration.

The visit also included participation in the Megaport Festival, where the delegation supported Finnish artist Käärijä and experienced Taiwan’s cultural scene.

According to Taiwan’s representation in Finland, the visit reflects growing ties and shared values between the two sides, with continued cooperation expected.
