Finnish construction technology company Peikko Group Corporation showcased its advanced precast connection solutions at the BCA-SCAL Seminar 2025 in Singapore on 4 November.
The event, themed “Elevating Productivity through Innovative Construction Methods and Advanced Technologies,” was jointly organized by the Building and Construction Authority (BCA) and the Singapore Contractors Association Ltd (SCAL). It brought together more than 150 industry professionals to discuss how modular construction, prefabrication and digital tools can improve productivity and sustainability in the built environment.
Peikko’s mock-up station drew strong attention from visitors interested in how mechanical connections can speed up installation, enhance on-site safety and reduce manpower needs.
As part of the seminar, Topi Laiho, Business Manager at Peikko, delivered a presentation titled “Challenges and Solutions in Mechanical Connection Adoption Across Building Typologies.”
“Peikko was delighted to take part in this major industry event,” says Laiho. “This platform allowed us not only to share our global experience in precast connections but also to engage with industry leaders in Singapore and across the region on how to overcome adoption challenges and drive productivity gains.”
Peikko’s participation reflected its strategic focus on partnering with the construction industry in Asia-Pacific, aligning with Singapore’s Advanced Precast Concrete Systems initiative.
