Peikko marks one year in Malaysia, driving green construction goals

Finland’s Ambassador to Malaysia, Anne Vasara, attended the event.

Peikko Group, a company that makes eco-friendly construction materials, just celebrated one year since opening its factory in Malaysia. This factory supports Malaysia’s green goals, which are part of a plan to make the country more sustainable by 2050.

Located in Johor Bahru, the factory is a hub for Peikko’s products in Southeast Asia, supplying to markets like Singapore and Australia, with plans to expand further. The factory uses advanced concrete technology, which reduces waste, cuts construction time, and lowers carbon emissions. This fits with Malaysia’s plan to create cleaner, greener cities.

“We’re helping to build more sustainable cities,” said Dmytro Triaskin, Peikko’s Managing Director in Southeast Asia. Finland’s Ambassador to Malaysia, Anne Vasara, praised Peikko’s efforts, saying Johor Bahru offers many opportunities for companies like Peikko.

As Peikko prepares to celebrate its 60th anniversary in 2025, the company remains focused on sustainable construction. By providing eco-friendly building solutions, Peikko aims to support green goals for both Malaysia and the wider region.
