Two Finnish tourists reported a theft to Pattaya City Police in the early hours of 29 October 2025 after discovering 2,000 $ in foreign currency missing from their rented house in Jomtien.

Police said the sisters filed the complaint at 1:06 a.m. at the Dongtan Curve substation. The sisters told officers they had left their family rental on Soi Jomtien 7 for dinner and returned to find the cash—about 60,000+ baht—gone.

Investigators noted no signs of forced entry and have not determined how the intrusion occurred. A detective team was dispatched to collect evidence, review CCTV, and take witness statements.

Pattaya police said the case remains under active investigation, with efforts focused on identifying and apprehending a suspect.
