The grand opening of the new IKEA store in Neihu on the 28th of April started with a Swedish breakfast followed by inspiring speeches by Taipei Mayor Ko Wen-je and Group Director, DF IKEA Mr. Martin Lindström.
Mr. Marin Lindstrom said he was delighted that IKEA has found a new home in Neihu after staying in the Dunbei commercial zone for 23 years.
“The Greater Taipei area is a very important location for IKEA. 25 years ago, the first store that IKEA opened in Taiwan was in Taipei city. Today we welcome the opening of the Neihu store, which is an exciting new challenge for all of our staff!
