Indonesia participates in Finland travel fair

Indonesia participated in Matka Nordic Travel Fair held in Helsinki on 17-20 January 2019. In order to attract tourist from Northern Europe, Indonesia chose the archipelago’s unique experiences, such as local coffee and spices and musical instruments to be promoted in this fair.

“Indonesia’s participation in the Matka Nordic Travel Fair is part of our support to reach the target of attracting 20 million foreign tourists,” says Agustini Rahayu from the development department of the Indonesian Tourism Ministry’s marketing II regional IV (Europe).

“Currently their favourite Southeast Asian country as a destination is Thailand. Indonesia needs to promote itself as a country filled with natural, cultural and sensory wonders” she adds.

Matka Nordic Travel Fair is an annually event held in Helsinki, Finland and visited by more than 50.000 consumers and almost 20.000 travel trade professionals.
