Sjømannskirken – Norwegian Church Abroad in Pattaya is going to build a new church in Pattaya. Today, on Wednesday 5 October 2016, the lot of the new church is being prepared for the coming construction project by clearing and cleansing the space.

The present Norwegian Seaman’s Church in Pattaya is placed on 162/50 Moo 10, Thappraya rd., Soi 7 in Jomtien, and the new church will be found on Soi 5 which is only 100 meters away from the present church, on the next corner in the same quarter.

Sjømannskirken in Pattaya was established in 2005 close to the present church, and two years later, in 2007, moved to where it is located now. In 2010, the Norwegian Church Abroad became responsible for the ecclesiastical responsibility of all Norwegians in Thailand and therefore, they often visit other cities such as Phuket, Bangkok, Udon Thani and Koh Chang.

The new Norwegian Seaman’s Church in Pattaya will be completed and ready for use in approximately two years, according to the church itself.
