New Philippine Ambassador arrives in Denmark ahead of 80-year milestone

A new envoy has landed in Copenhagen at a historic moment, The Philippine Embassy in Denmark reports.

On 17 February 2026, the Embassy of the Philippines in Denmark welcomed His Excellency Pablito A. Mendoza as Ambassador-Designate to the Kingdom of Denmark.

His appointment comes as the two countries prepare to mark 80 years of diplomatic relations in 2026. The Philippines will also hold the ASEAN Chairmanship the same year.

Ambassador-Designate Mendoza is a career diplomat. He previously served as Deputy Chief of Mission and Consul General in Belgium and worked with the Office of European Affairs in Manila.

He has expressed his intention to engage closely with the Filipino community in Denmark, as well as in Greenland and the Faroe Islands.
