New Swedish campaign in Singapore aims to reduce use of plastics

SwedCham’s Sustainability Committee has initiated a new campaign to aid Singapore’s transformation to become a more environmentally sustainable society. First event of the campaign will take place on 1-2 September at IKEA.

The new campaign #tripleRhero will create a movement to improve waste management in Singapore and to promote initiatives related to the three R’s; Reduce, Reuse and Recycle.

The campaign is created by SwedCham and supported by the Swedish Embassy in Singapore.
The first event of the campaign will take place at IKEA Alexandra 1–2 September. The purpose of the first event is to raise awareness about the issues connected to the use of disposable plastics.

The campaign will target the Singaporean consumers, educate them in the subject and encourage them to lead by example. The objective is to get 100 000 people to sign the pledge to reduce their use of disposable plastics.
