Nguyen Doan Anh visited Norway from 25 to 27 September. He called for closer cooperation with Norwegian companies DNV and TOMRA.
Anh is a vice chairman of Vietnam’s National Assembly. He asked DNV to explore more work with Vietnam on shipping, offshore wind and energy infrastructure. He also raised technical standards. At TOMRA, he encouraged cooperation on waste collection, sorting and recycling.
The meetings followed a green strategic partnership memorandum signed by Norway and Vietnam in April. No new contract or investment was announced during the visit.
Anh also met Norwegian lawmakers to discuss the proposed EFTA–Vietnam free trade agreement. Negotiations have concluded, but the agreement has yet to be signed and ratified.
