Vietnamese National Assembly Vice President Nguyen Doan Anh visited Finnish technology companies Nokia and ICEYE during a working trip to Finland from 21 to 23 September.
According to the Vietnam News Agency, Anh also met representatives of Aalto University and VTT Technical Research Centre in Espoo. He called for closer cooperation with Vietnamese partners in satellite technology, artificial intelligence, digital transformation and smart cities.
Anh encouraged Finnish businesses to pursue joint research, technology development and workforce training with Vietnamese partners, alongside technology transfer.
The visit followed agreements signed in October 2025. Viettel and ICEYE agreed to cooperate on Earth observation satellite technology, while Viettel and Nokia signed an agreement on digital transformation and telecommunications infrastructure. No new agreement was announced during Anh’s visit.
Anh also met Finnish Parliament Speaker Jussi Halla-aho and Deputy Speaker Tarja Filatov. Finland’s Parliament confirmed the meetings on 22 September.
