A high-level forum is planned for April 2027, bringing together government officials and companies from Denmark, Sweden, Norway and Finland with Philippine counterparts to explore new investment opportunities, Business World reports.

The initiative is led by the Philippine Economic Zone Authority (Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA)) in partnership with the Nordic Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines (Nordic Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines), and will be held at the Subic Bay Freeport Zone.

The focus is on attracting Nordic investment into high-value sectors such as advanced manufacturing, maritime industries, aerospace, telecommunications and cybersecurity.

Officials say the goal is to strengthen supply chains and increase technology transfer at a time of shifting global economic and geopolitical conditions.

The Nordic countries are being positioned as key partners due to their strengths in innovation, sustainability and advanced industrial technology.

PEZA says the event is part of a wider strategy to develop the Philippines into a regional hub for next-generation industries and investment-driven growth.
