On 19 May 2021 the Nordic Consulates General in Shanghai jointly organized a Nordic Talks event titled “Act to Inspire: Tracing Our Food’s Journey”, digging into the themes of traceability and sustainability in the Nordic and Chinese food systems. Consul General of Finland Mr. Pasi Hellman opened the event on behalf of the four Nordic consulates, and the event was divided into two sessions, featuring both Nordic and Chinese speakers. From Finland, Ms. Hanna Hiekkamies, Senior Vice President of Group Sustainability at Valio, joined the second session discussing the importance of transparency in the food supply chain.
The event was made possible by the support from the The Nordic Council of Ministers and The Nordic Council and Shanghai International Culture Association. A special thank you to Business Finland‘s Food from Finland program and Green Initiatives.
The theme will continue on Saturday when the second part of the event takes place at Sinan Mansion‘s Literary House (505 Middle Fuxing Road) between 10:00 and 18:00.
