China has expanded its 240-hour visa-free transit policy to include several European countries, including Nordic nations such as Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Iceland and Finland, Travel and Tour World reports.
The policy allows travellers to stay in China for up to 10 days without a visa when transiting through major cities such as Beijing, Shanghai and Chengdu.
Eligible travellers must have confirmed onward tickets to a third country and remain within designated transit areas during their stay.
The expanded scheme is part of China’s efforts to facilitate international travel and improve connectivity.
