Norwegian business leader Carl Martin Faannessen will discuss offshore wind in the Philippines at a meeting on 29 October. He serves as president of the Philippines Norway Business Council.

Eight European business chambers and councils are organising the Joint Maritime Committee meeting. They include NordCham Philippines and the Philippines Norway Business Council.

The event takes place at German Club Manila in Makati from 4pm to 5.30pm. Committee chair Tore Henriksen will give the opening remarks. Faannessen will then deliver his presentation, followed by a question-and-answer session.

ScandAsia has previously reported on Faannessen’s call for better ports, seabed information and skilled workers to support the country’s offshore wind industry.

The organisers encourage maritime industry representatives to attend. Admission is free, and registration closes at 5pm on 28 October. Participants pay for any food and drinks they order.
