Norwegian tourist warned by police after public nudity report on Pattaya Beach

Thai police in Pattaya warned a Norwegian tourist after witnesses reported he walked naked on the beach while intoxicated.

Thai police in Pattaya issued a formal warning to a Norwegian tourist after a reported public nudity incident, Thaiger reports. Officers responded on 22 January near Beach Road Soi 13/3 in Nong Prue.

Police said witnesses reported the man walked naked along the beach in public view. Officers later found him drinking alcohol with other foreign tourists.

The man admitted he was shown in witness video footage, police said. He told officers he had been drinking and smoking cannabis before going into the sea.

Police said no one was physically harmed and no property was damaged. Officers warned him not to repeat the behaviour, and said repeat incidents could lead to detention. Thailand has very strict laws against indecent exposure in public spaces.
