The Chinese shopping platform Temu is now among the most visited online stores in Finland.
Temu ranks seventh in terms of website visits, according to a recent survey by the Finnish Commerce Federation, Verkkokauppa NYT – Digikuluttaja ja Suomen verkkokauppamarkkina 2025–2026.
Money flows to China
At the same time, one in ten euros spent on online shopping in Finland now goes to China.
More Finns are buying from Chinese platforms, often because of lower prices. Even though each purchase is cheaper, the total spending has increased.
“However, eight of the ten most popular online stores in terms of the number of visits are Finnish, which means that domestic e-commerce can, at its best, respond well to foreign competition,” Jaana Kurjenoja says in the press release by the Finnish Commerce Federation.
