Finland’s Ambassador to Vietnam, Pekka Voutilainen, has met three Finnish education providers to discuss recruiting Vietnamese students.
Voutilainen and Deputy Head of Mission Riikka Seppälä met representatives from RAB Academy, Turun AKK and Tampere Adult Education Centre TAKK at the Finnish Embassy in Hanoi on 9 September.
The meeting covered student recruitment, upcoming plans to promote Finnish education in Vietnam and opportunities for Finnish education providers. The participants also discussed the Vietnamese community in Finland.
RAB Academy currently promotes a Turun AKK intake beginning in February 2027. Applicants from Vietnam and four other Southeast Asian countries can apply.
TAKK already offers vocational programmes for students from outside the EU, including food-service and practical-nursing training. The institution has previously recruited Vietnamese students for its vocational courses.
The embassy has not announced any new agreements or recruitment targets following the meeting.
