TAGUIG CITY, PHILIPPINES January 7, 2021 – The Republic of Finland has re-opened its diplomatic mission in the country with the appointment of His Excellency Mr. Juha Pyykkö as the Ambassador and Head of Mission to the Philippines.
“Despite challenging times brought about by this pandemic, we pursued our plans to re-open an Embassy in the country as the Philippine economy continues to be one of the region’s most vibrant. I look forward to strengthening Finnish-Philippine relations in the coming years.”
In their search for the most appropriate office location in Manila, the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Finland in Helsinki appointed Pronove Tai & Associates (Phils.) Inc.
“Invaluable to our plans was the appointment of a Tenant Representative to search for a suitable space for the Embassy. This decision proved us well with Pronove Tai carrying out an efficient and seamless process locally while our team was based in Finland. Finding the best address for us has been very successful”, said Ambassador Pyykkö.
“We are grateful for the trust and confidence that the Embassy gave us in leading this project locally. After a thorough search and evaluation, we are pleased to announce that the newly completed and LEED certified The Finance Centre was chosen among numerous options.” according to Monique Cornelio-Pronove, CEO, Pronove Tai. The Finance Centre is located at the 26th Street, corner 9th Avenue in Bonifacio Globaly City, Taguig.
The Embassy of the Republic of Finland is the fourth Nordic Embassy in the Philippines to-date.
