On 15 October 2020, Mr. Jon Åström Gröndahl, Ambassador-Designate of Sweden, at the Sustainability for Business Forum 2020 said “Promoting sustainability in all its forms and seeking new green collaborations is a key part of my mandate and mission”

“Not only because it is central to Swedish foreign policy and in line with the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, but also because it is the right thing to do. Ultimately it is about which side of history that we want to be on.”

Sweden has the ambition to become the first fossil free welfare country in the world, and totally climate neutral in 2045.
