Sweden co-hosts Vietnam Internet Forum 2017

The Vietnam Internet Forum 2017, taking place on 27-28 November in Hanoi, will discuss Internet’s contributions to an open, sustainable and innovative society. Focus is on Internet accessibility and digital solutions for social impact under the theme DigitalforGood (how digital technology advances sustainable development). VIF17 is a platform for intersectoral discussion and interaction.

Speakers and participants include government officials, civil society representatives, academia, business leaders, social entrepreneurs and investors.

The forum is co-hosted by the Embassy of Sweden in Hanoi and the Ministry of Information and Communications. Co-organizers and partners are Vietnam Program for Internet & Society, Lund University Internet Institute – LUii, Vietnam Internet Association, UNDP Việt Nam and UNESCO Office in Vietnam.

Among the speakers from Sweden or with Swedish connection are: Denis Brunetti, President of Ericsson Vietnam, Myanmar, Laos and Cambodia; Andreas Mattsson, Lecturer in journalism, Lund University; Måns Svensson, Associate Professor and Senior Lecturer, Lund Universityn; Johannes Schildt, Co-Founder and CEO at KRY.

Side events will display a variety of digital innovations and solutions. The evening reception offers a chance to immerse in discussion and networking with senior business leaders, policy makers and investors.
