Swedish authors participated in Singapore Writers Festival

Swedish authors Andreas Norman and Jonas Hassen Khemiri attended Singapore Writers Festival, that took place from 2-11 November.

The Swedish authors took part in panel discussions, readings and writer’s workshops, according to the Swedish Embassy in Singapore.

Andreas Norman made his debut as a writer in 1996 with a collection of poems, and in 2013 his first novel “Into A Raging Blaze” was published.

Jonas Hassen Khemiri debut novel “One Red Eye” was published in 2003 and since then his work has been translated into 25 languages.

Singapore Writers Festival presents the world’s literary talents to Singaporeans and focuses on Southeast Asian creative talents.
Over the years, the Festival has become an meeting point of writers, academics and thinkers in a choice spread of panel discussions, workshops, lectures and performances in 10 days. The guiding theme this year was the Chinese word “jie” or “border
