Swedes in southern Vietnam must contact Sweden’s embassy in Hanoi for emergency passports from 14 October to 4 November 2026.
During this period, Sweden’s Honorary Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City will not accept emergency passport applications. It will also pause document legalisation services.
The embassy announced the temporary restrictions on 12 October. It asks anyone needing either service during this period to contact its office in Hanoi.
Meanwhile, the consulate will close completely on Tuesday, 27 October. It will reopen on Wednesday, 28 October.
However, the restrictions on emergency passports and document legalisation will continue until 4 November.
