Swedish Embassy in the Philippines to host Transportation Forum on sustainable mobility

The Swedish Embassy in the Philippines will host the inaugural Transportation Forum: Connecting the Philippines – Sustainable Transport, Safer Lives.

The Swedish Embassy in the Philippines has announced that in collaboration with the European Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines (ECCP), it will host the inaugural Transportation Forum: Connecting the Philippines – Sustainable Transport, Safer Lives on 11 September 2025 at The Westin Manila, Ortigas Center.

The forum will bring together government leaders, international organizations, and private sector representatives to discuss innovative approaches for a sustainable and resilient transport ecosystem in the Philippines. Swedish Ambassador to the Philippines, H.E. Anna Ferry, will deliver the opening remarks.

Key speakers include Senator JV Ejercito, Undersecretaries Mark Steven Pastor and Ramon Reyes from the Department of Transportation, and Patrick Aquino, Director at the Department of Energy. The United Nations Secretary General’s Special Envoy for Road Safety, Jean Todt, will also address the forum.

The programme will feature a panel discussion moderated by Sweden’s Trade Commissioner to the Philippines, Johan Lennefalk, with contributions from Team Sweden partners including Axis Communications and Volvo Buses.
