The Embassy of Sweden in Bangkok took part in the launch of Monsoon Tea’s new AI Biodiversity Traceability Project at The Forestias on 2 September 2025. The initiative applies artificial intelligence to record and analyze insect sounds in the forest, offering an innovative way to monitor ecosystem health and biodiversity.

Sweden has contributed funding to the project, which aims to combine technology and sustainability to protect forest areas, conserve biodiversity, and benefit local communities. The approach highlights how advanced digital tools can support long-term environmental protection in Thailand.

During the event, Anna Maria Oltorp, Head of Regional Development Cooperation in Asia at the Embassy of Sweden, delivered opening remarks. She emphasized Sweden’s commitment to driving innovation that connects science, nature, and people to create a more sustainable future.
