In mid September, F1 driver Marcus Ericsson, in Singapore for Formula 1 driving for Team Sauber, met with Sweden’s Ambassador Håkan Jevrell and Ms Eva Walder, Director General for Trade from Sweden’s Ministry for Foreign Affairs. The embassy team took the opportunity to visit Sauber’s team garage. Ambasaddor Jevrell had a quick chat with Marcus before the race.

“It’s fantastic to be back in Singapore, both to be back in Singapore city and to drive here. We’ll see how the race will go, it’s a special race because the track is in the middle of the city and a lot could happen, it will certainly be a spectacular race and I will give my all and I’m glad for the support I have received in Singapore,” Marcus told the ambassador.

“Marcus Ericsson came in 11th position this year! We wish Marcus all the best for the remainder of the F1 season,” wrote the Embassy of Sweden, Singapore.
