On 12-16 September 2016, the Royal Thai Embassy in Oslo organised the Thai gastronomy promotion by the Thai celebrity chef,  M.L. Sirichalerm Svasti, or Chef McDang, who gave lecture and food demonstration for various group invited guests such as the diplomatic corps, food blogger and media, students of culinary school (Laerlingekompaniet), restaurant owners and museum group. Moreover, the Embassy in cooperation with the Continental Hotel offered Thai dishes menu designed by Chef McDang for the hotel guests between 15-20 September 2016 which turned out very successfully.

Both activities were well responded by participants as it was a good opportunity to learn Thai cuisine, arts of Thai cooking, as well as how to select Thai ingredients and seasoning products. During the classes, all the participants had an opportunity to taste the demonstrated Thai menus which received very good feedbacks from participants as they could enjoy various tastes of the dish.

This project is one of the activities under the project “Thai kitchen to the world” which aims to promote Thailand through authentic Thai food, as well as to make known of Thai food products and ingredients throughout the world market.
