The Danish embassy in Kuala Lumpur visited Amos Wang for the good old times

On 30 April 2021 the Royal Danish Embassy in Kuala Lumper revived a moment with Amos Wang, the memo reads:

Recently, we have had the privilege to catch up with a former employee, Amos Wong, who was with the Embassy for a whopping 32 years in total! Amos worked from January 1, 1971 all the way till his retirement in 2003! After many years of dedicated work to the Danish Embassy, Amos Wong received a long-service medal from Her Majesty Queen Margrethe II of Denmark. The recognition was even published in a local newspaper!

He still remembers vividly how his first day at work was like – with the Embassy in Denmark House getting flooded. How welcoming!

Amos was one of the first few to work for the Trade Council in Malaysia, covering environment and health sectors. Later on, he worked as a consultant for DANCED (Danish Cooperation for Environment and Development) – DANIDA (Danish International Development Assistance), where he worked on numerous projects with a specific focus on urban development and industrialization, sustainable energy, water resources and industrial pollution.
Thank you, Amos for your contribution!
