A UK-based health media company, Fixing US, is seeking two to three Nordic individuals who have experienced Japanese encephalitis to participate in a disease-awareness project for the Nordic region.
The company produces health content and international awareness campaigns and is currently researching Japanese encephalitis within the broader context of tropical diseases. Participants may have contracted the mosquito-borne virus from anywhere in Asia, and prior cases are welcome if individuals can recall the impact well enough to share their story. Today, the person could be living anywhere in Asia, or have returned to their Nordic home country.
“Because this is a very difficult search, I am reaching out to Nordic organizations to help identify people with experience of Japanese encephalitis,” says project lead Gemma Delaney.
